Whether you have studied music for many years or have just begun your studies, you are welcome to join this group.  All students learning to play any instrument and learning with a teacher are welcome to join.   We also welcome those who are seriously thinking about it but would like to have support to take that first step!

Upcoming Bi-Weekly Meetings
Saturday, March 25 , 2023, 12pm-2pm Zoom meeting

The next meetings are:

  • April 8th or 15th, via Zoom (to be determined)

  • April 29th in person at Steinway

Please Note: All in person meetings will take place at our venue of choice, the Calgary Piano Gallery Recital Hall, unless otherwise specified.  Only group members or guests who have notified the ALMSG Leadership team of their trial visit will be allowed entry.   Masks can be worn at the discretion of each member's comfort level and personal preference - please sit six feet apart from others.

Many of our group members are collaborating on a music piece  "The Water is Wide" on the app Acapella.  Kaylene is heading this project so if you want more information and/or would like to be a part of the project, please contact Kaylene.

APTA festival

  • Kathleen, Linda and Sandra are playing piano solos and recitals at the Alberta Piano Teachers Association Festival (APTA) festival on March 6 7:15- 8:15 pm. APTA festival performances are at St. David’s United Church 3303 Capitol Hill Crescent NW, Calgary. 

  • Kaylene and Alan; Sandra and Prem will be playing their respective piano combo duos on Mar 8 9:00-10:00 am. Kaylene on violin with Alan on piano and Sandra on vocals with Prem on piano.

  • Linda will be singing and playing piano on Mar 10 1:30 - 2:30 pm at the "I Sing and Play" class.

Ambrose Arts Orchestra Performance

  • Kaylene is playing violin on the evening of March 15th 7:30 - 9:00 pm with the Ambrose Arts Orchestra at Calgary First Church of the Nazarene 65 Richard Way SW - Edwin Gnandt Concerto Concert. Tickets via Eventbrite or at the door $20 general admission/students & seniors $15
